ABOUT POLARIS HOUSE
Polaris House is a clubhouse community dedicated to recovery from mental illness. Located in Juneau, Alaska, Polaris House has over three hundred and fifty members. Staff and members work side by side to operate the clubhouse, helping members step into autonomy and recovery.
Members participate in programs such as supported housing and transitional employment. Clubhouse membership is free, and open to anyone with a history of mental illness. Polaris House adheres to the clubhouse standards laid out by the International Center for Clubhouse Development.
UPCOMING EVENTS AT POLARIS HOUSE
Saturday July 11, 2015 is cosmic bowling at 12:00 noon meet at the clubhouse
Friday July 17, 2015 we have a camping trip planned, leaving after the 9:00 am unit meeting
Saturday July 25, 2015 we have a fishing trip planned, leaving the clubhouse at 10:00 am
The concession stand needs a home to sit for business if any leads, FYI otherwise in storage until further notice
Board meeting every third Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm open to members and staff
Monthly Clubhouse Business meetings are the last Friday of each month, starting at 11:00 am followed by lunch at noon and then the birthday cake for those who had birthdays that month.
