ABOUT POLARIS HOUSE
Polaris House is a clubhouse community dedicated to recovery from mental illness. Located in Juneau, Alaska, Polaris House has over three hundred and fifty members. Staff and members work side by side to operate the clubhouse, helping members step into autonomy and recovery.
Members participate in programs such as supported housing and transitional employment. Clubhouse membership is free, and open to anyone with a history of mental illness. Polaris House adheres to the clubhouse standards laid out by the International Center for Clubhouse Development.
UPCOMING EVENTS AT POLARIS HOUSE
Thursday September 18, 2014 is the Board Meeting at 5:30 pm
Friday September 19, 2014 is the grand opening for the 'North Star Cafe' from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and will be open once a week on Fridays, later on we will have more days of opening.
Saturday September 20, 2014 we will be going to the Diamond Aquatic Pool for swimming from 12:00 noon to 1:45 pm.
Monday September 22, 2014 Polaris House will be hosting a meeting on 'Voter Education' at 10:00 am in the Clubhouse dining room.
Saturday September 27, 2014 we will be going to the Taku Lanes Bowling from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.
Monthly Clubhouse meetings are the fourth friday of each month, starting at 11:00 am followed by lunch at noon and then the birthday cake for those who had birthdays that month.
