ABOUT POLARIS HOUSE
Polaris House is a clubhouse community dedicated to recovery from mental illness. Located in Juneau, Alaska, Polaris House has over three hundred and fifty members. Staff and members work side by side to operate the clubhouse, helping members step into autonomy and recovery.
Members participate in programs such as supported housing and transitional employment. Clubhouse membership is free, and open to anyone with a history of mental illness. Polaris House adheres to the clubhouse standards laid out by the International Center for Clubhouse Development.
UPCOMING EVENTS AT POLARIS HOUSE
Wednesday May 27, 2015 we have an Employment dinner to celebrate those who have successfully secured a job, dinner starts at 5:00 pm
June 8, 2015 two staff and one member will be traveling to The Alliance House of Salt Lake City, Utah for Club House training, this is a three week training and the last week of training one Board member will travel down to attend the training.
The concession stand is now open on Friday - Monday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on 434 Willoughby Ave. and takes call in orders now at 780-6775
Board meeting every third Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm open to members and staff
Monthly Clubhouse Business meetings are the last Friday of each month, starting at 11:00 am followed by lunch at noon and then the birthday cake for those who had birthdays that month.
